“Steve Trevor has a pretty simple and wonderful dynamic, really, with Diana Prince. You have Diana, who’s a neophyte to the world of man, who has great hope for humanity. And then you have Steve, who lives right at the heart of darkness in the world of man, who’s seen the depths and depravity of which mankind is capable of exhibiting.
And from that hopeless state and that hopeful state, these two meet and they learn about each other and the world. For Steve Trevor, who’s lost all hope in wartime, it means learning a bit more about hope and the potential positive future of mankind.”
- Chris Pine
In DC’s Golden Age, Steve Trevor often referred to Diana of Themyscira as “the angel who rescued him from the plane crash.”
Rogue One’s Orson Krennic, Director of Advanced Weapons Research for the Imperial military, is obsessed with the completion of the long-delayed Death Star project. A cruel but brilliant man, Krennic has staked his reputation on the delivery of the functional battle station to the Emperor.
A band of resistance fighters unite for a daring mission to steal the plans to the Death Star in the anthology film, Rogue One.
“Riz Ahmed plays the Rebel pilot Bodhi Rook, a former Imperial serviceman. Bodhi comes from an occupied planet, where he was pressed into service but turns traitor when he becomes too horrified by the actions he is forced to carry out.”
Ben Mendelsohn as Director Orson Krennic
“Krennic is a manipulator within the Empire. He understands the system and he knows how things work, but he also is not above trying to bend it to get what he needs or what he thinks he wants.”
He’s also intended to be a contrast to Imperial officers we’ve seen before. “Tarkin is the model for these really cool, icy types, you know? Krennic runs a little hotter than that, so that’s kind of fun and it’s a little bit different… He is unpredictable and volatile.”
